Is there a way to make the compiling shaders load faster?

Ok, so I know there are already a few questions based on this topic about why compiling shaders has been taking so long, but I wanted to know if there was any minor fix or tweak, that could at least make it go a bit faster. I mean, I’m getting very frustrated with it, because every time I use blueprint, I have to make something very minor with it. Today I was making a very big material with blueprint, but every time add something, or hit apply, the comiling shadres doubles by 100, then 200, 400, 800, 1000, and it get’s bigger and bigger, till it get’s to 3000 and then it crashes. I had not been having this problem when I had Unreal 4.0.2.

Hi Edkenway,

We have just released a preview for the hotfix 4.1.1 that includes a fix for the shader issues. If you don’t feel comfortable opt-in the preview, the release should be out within a week.

I hope it helps.

Thanks, TJ
