Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

UE4 False Ceiling indirect illumination

Dear Comunity, im trying to build a realisitic interior scene, where i need to make a rectangular false ceiling in a walkway and indirect illumation coming from the upper sides of it.

i tried using point light and make it a tube (thus creating 4 point lights one for each side. 2 of them with 100cm dimension, and 2 of them 400cm dimension) it didn't work.

i tried to make a rectangular tube volume of 5x5cm hidden in the false ceiling volume, and tried to use material light emission, and it didn't work.

am i missing something or is there a better simpler way to do that?

thanks in advance.

For the emissive material lighting, did you use LPV? (Light propagation Volume) so it tells the emissive material what to light?
