Hello, im trying to get the unreal launcher because i want to play UT and i want to buy a paragon founders pack but when i try to start the launcher it give me an error code 0xc000007b, i follow some threats that i found in the fórum and i install C++, redistributables and nothing fix it, so i do the last test with the DWalker and it give me this Log.txt

here i post my logs, i notice that the log in Dwalker has many missing DLL.link text

Unfortunately, Dependency Walker logs are difficult to read and usually contain a lot of items that look problematic but turn out to be harmless. In this case, the DW logs are not sufficient to pinpoint the problem. There is another tool called Process Monitor which may help pinpoint the problem. Info on how to use this tool can be found in the Troubleshooting the problem with Procmon section of the following support article: Error 0xc000007b when attempting to launch the Epic Games launcher

Hello, i just came home and follow the steps here is the log, please help me tomorrow will be the early Access of Paragon

Thank you for the details. I had a chance to look over the logs you posted but still don’t have a clear answer for you just yet. I’ll discuss with my colleagues and reply back once we have something concrete.

Thanks, i would appreciate a lot if you can help me to solve this issue.

Hello DEADBEEF, do you have any update about this issue? :frowning:

No, each version can live alongside other versions so there is no need to attempt to do anything besides the steps I outlined above.

I’m not an expert at reading Process Monitor output yet but I do have a suspicion. Perhaps you can try the following and let me know how it goes.

FIX D3DCOMPILER_43.DLL

  1. Download the Dx11 redist from here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=8109

  2. Find and backup your current C:\Windows\System32\D3DCOMPILER_43.dll. You can do this by renaming it to D3DCOMPILER_43.dll_BACKUP

  3. Install the DirectX11 Redist.

  4. Check to make sure you have a new D3DCOMPILER_43.DLL

  5. Try running the launcher.

Excelent thanks for the answer Sir, i will try this fix when i reach home from work, i have now directx 12 should i desinstall this DX12 and install that file that you send me?

Ok, thank you very much Sir, i will report the result when i reach home.

Hello, i just did what you tell me but it no Works :frowning:

It is possible that was not the only issue. Can you run the Process Monitor, Procmon, again and post up a new set of logs? I would like to see if the steps above got you further or if you are hitting the same issue.

Hello, im sorry about the delay but here is the new procmon log.link text

It seems you got further when attempting to startup the Epic Games Luancher. This time I see that d3dx11_43.dll is having an issue. Can you try the same steps we ran through before but this time on d3dx11_43.dll. This means you’ll have to run the directX install one more time(hopefully for the last time). I’m still not clear why some directX files would fail to install properly. If I could get my hands on someones backup DLLs and DirectX isntall logs I could probably track things down better. In any case, here are the steps again:

FIX d3dx11_43.dll

  1. Download the Dx11 redist from here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=8109

  2. Find and backup your current C:\Windows\System32\d3dx11_43.dll. You can do this by renaming it to d3dx11_43.dll_BACKUP

  3. Install the DirectX11 Redist.

  4. Check to make sure you have a new d3dx11_43.dll

  5. Try running the launcher again.

Hello Beef, i just do the test that you recomend to me but the problem still present, here i attatch the PROCMON with this new fixlink text

idk what i done, but the launcher start up now, i rename the xinput_43, dsetup.dll, dsetup32.dll, d3dcompiler_43, d3dcsx_43.dll, d3dx10_43.dll and d3dx11_43.dll then reinstall the redist that you give me and voila it Works jeje, thank you very much for your support Mr. Beef, i really apreciate it.

Hello Mr. Beef, my launcher issue is solved, but now after i install paragon when i try start the game come the same error but this time with the aplication OrionClient-win64-shipping.exe, here i attatch the PROCMON log of this .exelink text

Wow, I am not sure why your DirectX install is giving you so much trouble. Until your case we have only ever seen one file that was misbehaving. The fact that you had to force the install of so many may be an indication of a bigger issue.

It is hard to say but my guess is that now X3DAudio1_7.dll is the problem. This is another DirectX dll so the same steps you ran through above.

Hello Mr. Beef, i do the steps that you recommend to me with the x3daudio but didnt work, here i give you a procmon after the change in the x3daudio link text
