How were rock animations done in Elemental Demo?

Just curious, looking at elemental demo. I see rocks falling and breaking apart. I watch animation and wonder how it was done. Was there a way to simulate physics on rocks? Or were rocks moved individually each frame. Sorry total noob here. Thanks

If you’d like to take a closer look at something in demo (or any other project), you just need to click on it in scene and open it up! In this case, you can find general location in level and hit Simulate until rock starts to fall.

Assuming you’re talking about rocks that fall from ceiling in this demo, they are Skeletal Meshes with their own animations. You can, however, create a Destructible Mesh and activate physics on it to achieve a similar effect, if you’re looking for a more interactive and less cinematic level.
