Can one turn an imported mesh to be subtractive? (for weird shaped windows)

A rectangular window is easy, just drop the window mesh and add a peace of basic geometry generated by UE and turn it to subtractive. But say I have a window in a shape of a heart… I would have a second peace of heart shaped geometry a bit smaller than the frame of the window itself and that shape would be turned to subtractive mode. Thing is I don’t know if or how to turn a peace of imported geometry to subtractive mode.

Would;d it have to be a mesh or perhaps an option in materials

Thank you,

You can’t convert a staticmesh to a bsp brush, so if you want to create a heart shaped window you need to make a cilinder brush and edit the vertex to make the heart.

Down the feature suggestion it goes.

I’m just starting out, but I gotta say there are a lot of features that seem pretty basic that are missing. Little things like this are quite time consuming and seem like easy fixes for their dev team.
