Preview 4.11 not visible in Launcher and questions

Hello,

I would like to get the preview of version 4.11. On one of my computers it is available for install in the Launcher, on the other the Launcher doesn’t list it (cf screenshot). How can I get it?

Beside I have 2 questions regarding the use of the Launcher:

  • It is great and useful to have a quick access to all our projects in the Launcher. Unfortunately when there are many projects it becomes messy and heavy. Is it possible to prevent some projects to be listed? Beside it would be great to be able to create folders and to sort the projects (by name, date, folder…).

  • Some other projects are not listed. Is there a reason why? How can I make them appear in the list?

Thank you very much

Hi werwack,

I’m sorry that you are having an issue with the Epic Games Launcher. version 4.11. How can I get it?

  • You can click the “+ Add Versions” that appears above your engine slots in the Library you posted a screenshot of. This should add a new entry that will allow you to pick the 4.11 Engine.

create folders and to sort the projects (by name, date, folder…)

  • At the moment there is no way to arrange the view by name/date/folder as you describe. We are constantly trying to improve things so that ability may come along in the future.

Some other projects are not listed. Is there a reason why? How can I make them appear in the list?

  • We would probably need to collect more info about the projects that are not showing up for you before we can attempt to help with that.

You can click the “+ Add Versions”
that appears above your engine slots
in the Library you posted a screenshot
of. This should add a new entry that
will allow you to pick the 4.11
Engine.

The very reason of my question is that this doesn’t work :S
When I press the +Add Versions I get an item to install 4.7.6.

My problem is still there so I sent a ticket to the Help/EpicGames page you mentioned.

Thank you

I see, after pressing the +Add Versions button you can then select the dropdown on the new Engine slot and select the version you are interested in. Let me know if 4.11 preview is not listed.

Thank you, that’s it!!

Well I really do think there are a few things that should be thought differently in the Launcher…

Another point I have some trouble with in the Launcher is the fact that it eats 3% CPU all the time, even in the background, just for displaying a few pictures… Could you please inform the developers of that?

Thanks a lot
