Royalty collection for architectural visualizations in Brazil

Dear all,

My name is Alexandre Santana, I am 23 years old and I am getting in touch with you from Brazil.

First of all, I would like to take this moment to thank you all to make Unreal Engine 4 free. This software is amazing!

We, Revesttir, are opening our own flooring and coating business, and we would like to work with this engine making simulation and Architectural projects. Could you please confirm for us if it’s necessary to pay royalties to be able to use this program?

To prove the value received from the sale (when there is a sale), we must present certain national income? To calculate the value of $ 3,000, we should just make the exchange of currency?

Thank you.

There are generally no royalties associated with arch/viz use of UE4. Unless you (or someone else) is selling your visualization to general end users (rather than to a client), there is no royalty.

Thanks for your answer! However, we would like to sell if it is the client’s wish. What should we do to change the real (R$) to the dolar (U$)? How do we prove what was spent?

Royalty reporting requirements are detailed here. On the subject of currency conversion, all revenues received in other currencies should be converted to United States Dollars at the officially published average exchange rates of the reporting period (using rates published by an international bank or recognized exchange rate website - www.oanda.com, www.x-rates.com, www.xe.com).

Ok, thank you so much!
