How can I create an environment above clouds ?

Hi !

Sorry in advance for my english, I will try to do my best !

I want to create an environnement for my game that is above cloud. What I want to do is to see cloud just bellow the level (terrain).

I have alreay search in order to have an effect like that. I have found a material and a particle system that create a procedural cloud system. The problem is that the system doesn’t cover all my terrain and it’s possible to see some times the bottom of my terrain.

Their is a technique in order to do that ? Do you have any idea ?

I’m not entirely certain about this, but I imagine you could use atmospheric fog to limit the players view distance?

Yes it will be a solution to increase performance for the final result but the probleme is that the algorithm of the cloud don’t create a full cloudy environment. In my picture there is particles of cloud all around the terrain but just a part of cloud is shown.
