Could not download installation information

Hello,

So, I was trying to install UE4 ver 4.10.4 on my new computer (config in ps). At first the installation went normal, I slept and let it continue. After some time, I’m having this problem (see attachment pic).

I tried answers from :

  1. [HERE][1] : Reinstalled VCRedist, set http timeout, closed port 80/443 apps, restart than test connection and resume.
  2. [HERE][2] : Set current didn’t work too.

Many other solutions didn’t worked for me, I’m really stuck here guys PLEASE help.

I’ve heared that you should stay in front of setup in order to reply in time (when install finished) or it’ll fails due to timeout for windows permission. Is that true? Can someone confirm?

It’s ok. It has finished downloading.

What I’ve done is that I added the 4.9.2 version and tried to install it. It actually didn’t prompted the message I have before. After several tries, the 4.10.4 resumed download.

But I dont think that this is what solved the problem. Because some people just clicked “Set Active”. What I think is you should give it time :-). You just try to resume and close the notification. It tries to connect but dont find the trigger. Just try different actions.

The problem origin is, I think, the fact that I didn’t gave permission to the prerequisites (windows permission) and when he got tired of waiting he declared the installation failed.
