Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

Problem: "get" node to "Break Strict_NPCStatement"

Hello wonderful and knowledgable people of the Internet!

I am currently trying (and failing) to build a conversation system with a specific NPC from a game I'm making on my own but I keep on having problems with the "Get" node. No matter what I try and search for on the web, I can't find a way to connect it to the "Break Strict_NPCStatement" Node in every function I make. I'm trying to follow the "tutorial" on this website ( http://codyclaborn.me/2015/12/15/Unreal4-NPC-Dialogue-System/ ) but there seems to be a few problems.

[context: I'm in the BP_NPC > Respond section]

I'm not sure if the maker of the tutorial is just using another version of Unreal Engine 4, but i'm getting semi-frustrated from this error.

If anybody could help me figure out why the blue wire from the "Get" node can't connect to the same blue wire on the "Break Strict -blablabla" node, I'd be extremely happy!

Thank you in advance, and have a great day/night. :)
