"Can't find file for asset." or: my painted landscape loses its "paint"

I made a level with a painted terrain. I created a new folder under the “Game” directory called “My_Stuff” with subfolders “LandscapeLayers” and “Materials”. When I load the level after a save, it says “Can’t find file for asset.” Oddly enough, the files it says it is missing is readily available in the content browser once the level loads. I’m not sure if making new folders is still a part of the intended workflow. Is there some sort of connection I have to make to have the engine check my custom folders when it loads the level? Keep in mind it’s just a subfolder (which I made WITH the content browser no less).

Hi fractalife,

I’m sorry you’re having this issue. Custom folders are the intended workflow and should be saved along with your project. I tested the process here and couldn’t reproduce your results. Every folder I placed content into seemed fine.

Which version are you running 4.0.2 or 4.1? And have you tried reproducing this in a new project yet?

Thanks, TJ
