How do you get meshes generated from a mesh emitter to follow a spline?

I’m trying to create hundreds of moving cars that follow a large circuit.

To do this, I want to create the cars via a mesh emitter, however I don’t know how to move the cars along a specific spline.

Any advice is appreciated.
