Hi Everyone, I have a strange Matinee problem here.
Just to give context:
I have a map with a matinee set up. It’s a 180 second (3 mins) animation of a ship flying through a city, and I have a camera attached to it, and I’m viewing through the camera.
The problem:
Matinee seems to not be playing at correct speed in the editor, nor the new window preview, nor the standalone game, nor in the cooked version. It ranges from 1 second in Matinee timeline = 2 seconds in real life, to 1 second in Matinee timeline = 0.5 seconds in real life (Or in simpler terms it looks like it ranges from playing in slow motion to playing in fast forward.)
I am getting framerates of 90-300 depending on the viewing method (eg. in editor, standalone), and it seems like the higher the framerate, the faster the Matinee plays. Somewhere between 90-120fps seems to be playing closer to real-time (1 sec = 1 sec)
As a result of all this, the entire sequence could be over in less than a minute, or it can last about 5 minutes.
As I understand it Matinee was designed be able to handle variable framerates or even frame drops and still sync the timeline 1:1 to real life time?
I really need the final play through of the animation to match exactly 3 mins, as designed in the Matinee timeline.
I’ve looked on Google and these forums but haven’t found anyone else with this problem
Edit: Also, the playback speed is at 100% in Matinee window
Thanks in advance!
