Trouble with destructible mesh

I’m trying to make a glass ceiling that breaks when the third person character jumps on it. Sometimes it breaks but sometimes it does not. It will break if I set it up perpendicular to the floor and run the character into it. I tried changing the damage settings on the pane of glass. Any knowledge is appreciated, thanks.

Destructible Mesh’s can be very particular about which direction you brake them in.

Try making your model so it’s flat like a window ceiling in Maya or Blender, exporting it as an FBX, taking it into the Apex Lab, and importing it that way. In my experience, you will get the best results if you don’t have to rotate the DM along the X or Y axis to put it into place.
