Rag doll completely breaks mesh

I’ve been following a tutorial on how to do ragdoll effects on my character, but I keep running into this problem. Whenever I add another capsule to my character’s bone and hit simulate, it completely shoots of in one direction. The model is to scale and the animations work fine in UE4/in game. This happens whenever there is more than one collision capsule, even if they’re not overlapping.

I rigged and animated in Blender.
