Material UV Animation not working with Beams

When animating UVs in a material, that animation is not echoed in the Beam emitter I have set up. Because I’m developing for a mobile platform I’m using the custom UV inputs in the material editor, which is basically required. Could that be causing the problem, though? Is this functionality simply not supported in Beams?

if u look in the properties for the material they have a check box for whether or not its used with particles, they may also have one for mobile as well
