Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

[Bug] MakeFloat2 in dependent texture read editor crash

Very strange errors and editor crash I noticed in the material editor. Since a picture is worth 1,000 words I've created a minimal repro image that shows the issue. If you have a MakeFloat2 anywhere feeding into the UV input of a dependent texture read then the issue pops up, which I hit shifting my UV by a bit. Relatively easy workaround of connecting the constant '0' to MakeFloat2 rather than using the default '0'.

Thanks!

Hey trebconnell,

So I attempted to reproduce what you are showing here, and did not get all of the same error messages, or the crash.

If you are able to reproduce this and consistently get the crash to occur, please provide us with the crash logs. To find the logs, head to our How to Report a Bug forum sticky to get an understanding of how to do this and all the information we usually request when users report a crash/bug.

Thank you,

Andrew Hurley

Thanks. I'll use those steps in the future, and will try to reproduce this soon with that info, but crunching on some work at the moment
