Hi everyone, i’m facing this issue when trying to install UE 4.11.
The message is the following:
“Install Failed. The necessary prerequisites have failed to install. Error Code R-3. Please ensure your operating system is up to date.” I have windows 7 Home Premium 64 bits (service pack 1)
Does anyone know what does this error means and how to fix it?

I’m having the same problem , I’m guessing that we need Windows 10 to use this version of Unreal engine … I did see this version having something to do with DirectX12 and that’s only available for Windows 10 ( at least from my understanding ) so what I recommend is that you go download the Windows 10 tool and install it for free while you can 
Im using Windows 10 (updated from w7) and It doesnt work either, we are managin to find the issue.

Hi, thank you very much. I have to evaluate what to do then, cause i don’t know if windows 10 is a possibility right now.
