Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

Texture Color/Material Issue (Texture from Substance P)

I do not know what's wrong with UE4's texture importing process. I've encountered very, very weird colour inconsistency.

I've tried to tick on and off sRGB, use Legacy Gamma, and everything.

As you can see with the 2 screenshot of texture editor.

Ticking on and off sRGB somehow seems to have no effect with this texture. However, this texture had the correct colour when put on the actual asset.

Now I had a different asset with different textures,

Their texture pipeline is identical within substance painter 2.0, and they look great in substance painter. When I setup the textures and material properly in UE4, the new asset just won't give me the correct color. Now, I do not know how I made it correct with the first model. But I've seem to have no chance of even to trouble shoot what is wrong. I re-imported it, ticked on and off sRGB and the legacy gamma, it does change the look of the new texture, but neither on and off give me colors even considered to be close to what I see in substance painter.

Using substance plugin solves the problem.
