Vehicle camera lag bug

Hello,

I want to report this bug https://answers.unrealengine.com/questions/326075/client-replication-vehicle-movement-lag.html in little better form, because it is not fixed. And also we cannot release game because of that.

How to replicate this bug - use default vehicle starter template and run game for 2 or more players:
- YouTube and then - YouTube

“Camera lag” option and “Camera rotation lag” are buggy. But look at rotation for now, it can be easilly tested. You can see that when you drive straight then no bug occur. But when you start turn your car then it starts bugging your camera even in that case when you camera turning is off - see second video.

It looks like something from prediction/server position or networking messing with client camera position/rotation.

Please fix it. It was ok in older version, 4.9 I think. Definitely bugged in 4.10 and 4.11. Thank you.

It is caused by SpringArm. See this video - YouTube Without camera in SpringArm is everything ok.

Btw, look at that videos in 60fps.

After doing a bit of digging I was able to find that this is a known issue (UE-24725) and that it has been submitted to the developers for further consideration. I will provide updates with any pertinent information as it becomes available. Thank you for your time and information.

Man, in my case i’ve solved parenting the spring arm into another spring arm that has no lag enabled and no Collision Test enabled.

I still have this problem in 4.21

I still have this problem in 2021 but can’t find fix anywhere. after disabling camerea lag and camera rotation lag,the screen is vibrating like he showed in 2nd video. Has noone found any good fix yet?
