[4.10.4] - [UMG BUG] Font Size Crash

Hey Epic!

Found a quick bug for you and have a couple steps to replicate. I happened to see the editor crash at one point when accidently entering a very high value and hitting enter.

I went back into the editor to try and find a way to replicate it and it seems a little hard but I’ll try to explain what I did to make it happen again. EDIT: Seems I’ve got some solid steps to replicate… see below…

As a note, the editor hits an exception on Line #446 in FontCache.cpp. What I ended up doing just now was taking a TextBox that had a custom Font set to a size of 48 and then performed the following…

  1. Enter a value of -1 into the FontSize property field
  2. Enter a value of 2000000 into the FontSize

This should cause the crash. If it doesn’t let me know and I’ll attempt it again. But if that doesn’t work, try hamming on your keyboard, hitting enter, attempting a high number and it should happen eventually but the -1 to 2000000 should do the trick :wink:

After doing a bit of digging I found that this is a know issue (UE-22378) and that it has been resolved internally. The solution for this issue will be available in a later release of the engine. I hope that this information helps. Thank you for your time and information.
