I started downloading unreal engine through the launcher (which btw took forever to launch for some reason) and i left the room when it was about 90 percent, i come back a while later and see that it failed, it said cannot download installation information code 0. I looked up some answers and i did everything yet nothing worked. I have all the vc++ files needed and nothing online helped. Id really appreciate some help here.
I’ve gotten this error also. But I received this error after first getting Error Code E-1223. I have Visual 2015 Community installed. When I hit resume installation in the Unreal Launcher I got the Error Code 0. I’ll update if I come up with an answer.

You can’t hit Install then walk away. Both times I did that I missed the UAC window that pops up. Basically after downloading and then verifying 100%, prerequisites will start and the UAC window will pop up. If you miss it, the install will fail and you’ll get the Error code 0. So just check in frequently and don’t miss the UAC and you should be ok. Hope this helps. I had the same issue.
