2D Fighting game camera
Hi all. I want to create a 2d fighting game with 3d character models however I'm stuck on how to implement a camera similar to the one used in this dragbonall z budokai 3 game: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4waPpdhZHHo. If you notice the camera will zoom in/out depending on how far away each character is from one another. Anyone have any suggestions on where to begin to figure out how to implement a camera like this? Should the camera be a component of one of the characters on screen or should it be its own entity (a static camera)? If I don't add the camera as a component of a character how should I make the camera and the characters interact with one another? Thanks for any insight into the solution.
