How to rig my model in maya LT with the 'Epic Skeleton'?

I have a steam licensed copy of Maya LT.
My plan is to use the animations fromt he asset store like the Animation Starter Pack with my model.

These animations are all bound to the ‘UE4_Mannequin_Skeleton’.

How can I get this ‘UE4_Mannequin_Skeleton’ into Maya LT to rig my model?

As far as I have learned, I can not use the ‘Animation and Rigging Toolkit’ plugin, because Maya LT does not allow plugins.

I am stuck right now. Any Idea?

PS: Exporing my own Skeletal Meshes from Maya LT rigged with the Human IK Plugin to Unreal does work, but then I can’t use the Asset Store Animations for the Epic Sceleton and I need to do all the animations for myself.

I think I found it out by myself. I need to work with ‘Animation Retargeting’ which is explained very good in this series:

Nah. That doesn’t work at all.
I tried the new Maya LT Extension 3 that as a very good auto rigging tool.
But i still can’t manage to get the Epic Mannequin working.

What I believe you want to do is import your rigged model into UE4, as is (with its original skeleton), then retarget it to the UE4 Mannequin skeleton used in the animation starter pack. At that point all starter kit animations can be used with your custom skeletal mesh.

Just follow this guide but use the skeleton you get from Maya LT and you’re done!
