Error: Could Not Overwrite Image File (Editor Splash)

I’ve set an image as my editor splash and would like to update it to the newest splash (already set for Game Splash). I cannot replace this image or reset it to default without getting this error. Not a dealbreaker for our project, but any suggestions?

Thanks

  1. Can you reproduce this issue in clean project?

Hello rbmiracle,

We have not heard back from you in a few days, so we are marking this post as Resolved for tracking purposes. If you are still experiencing the issue you reported, please respond to this message with additional information and we will offer further assistance.

Thank you.

  1. Go to Unreal Projects folder.
  2. Go to your project folder.
  3. Go to Content folder.
  4. If you have splash art on your project, then there will be Splash folder in your Content folder.
  5. Delete BMP and .uasset file in the Splash folder.
  6. Then, run your UE4, Your can see the splash art returned to basic BMP.
  7. And just re-setting your splash art!
