UV Distort with Subimage Index, how?

Hi! I have a flipbook 12x12 sprite sheet for a flame. I want to add UV distortion to these images, and I can’t get it to work. Obviously, the distortion needs to be consistent from frame to frame, and that’s what doesn’t seem to work. This seems like it should be simple, but I’ve spent the last 4 hours trying to get it working. Has anyone done this? Can you please post a material setup and/or explanation? THANK YOU!

The resulting image posted of the flame LOOKS like what I’m going for, but I’m not getting the same result. I’ve watched several youtube tutorials and everything seems to work with a SINGLE image, but as soon as I use a flipbook it doesn’t work anymore. THANKS!
