Unreal 4 Crash on Startup

Hey, My project was working fine a couple of days ago but now whenever i start it up it crashes with this error.

Can you provide more information about when this crash occurs so that we can try to reproduce it on our end?

  1. Your dxdiag (Windows Start Button>(search “dxdiag”)>Launch dxdiag>select “Save all information”>attach text file to your post.)
  2. I was not able to find this crash on our crash reporter site. If the Crash Reporter window is present when the crash occurs, select “Copy Callstack to the Clipboard,” and paste that information in a document and add to this post. Be sure to hit “Submit” on the Crash Reporter pop-up to send the Crash Report to Epic.
  3. “UE4.log” Located: Engine\Saved\Logs\
  4. “ProjectName.log” Located: ProjectName\Saved\Logs\

Since I cannot locate your crash on our Crash Reporter site, I can only go by similarly reported bugs, one of which I found here:

According to the user, their issue was caused by “…a lot of [their] blueprints having issues due to components not existing in c++ anymore due to modifications [they] made to the core classes.”

Although this may not be exactly the same situation as yours, your crash log references the following missing file:

Correcting this issue may resolve your issue. However, without the crash reporter data to cross-reference the same crash among other users and without details about when this crash occurs and/or repro steps, this is merely a “best guess.”

I’m marking this answer as “accepted” for tracking purposes. If the previous suggestion did not resolve the issue, I’d suggest making a backup of the project folder and deleting/removing the latest created assets from the Contents folder, then try to open. You may also want to try downloading the lastest version of UE4 and opening a copy with that version.
