Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

Office Holiday

LineTraceByChannel not working with Set Beam Target Point

Can someone please tell me why this is not working? Here's what is happening, when I hook up the End Trace to the Target Point it works (Except flying off into the distance; not what I want). So I am trying to hook up the Hit Location to the Target Point to set the length of the beam effect to the correct length.

Additional Info: The line coming into this image is a Tick Event.

Have you double-checked that your Emitter and Target Indexes are correct?

Can you screenshot the particle effect emitters?

I don't have any "Instance Parameters" on my beam that I use as a laser.

Check that your emitter's Target Method is set to User Set and not Actor. Here's how mine looks:

And then this is how I set the end location of the beam (it extends from my emitter's location to the location I pass in). It looks like you are doing the same thing.
