Undo in Blueprint Editor Clears Component Selection

Hello,

When I edit a property on any component in the Blueprint editor, then undo, the editor clears the selection (such that no component is highlighted in the Viewport and the Details tab becomes empty. I believe the cause of this issue is that component selections are not recorded into the undo history.

Thanks!

Have a great day

Hi there,
I was just wondering if there are any updates on this issue?
Thanks!

This issue is still being investigated by our developers; however, there is no timeline for when a fix will be released at this time.

Hi there,
This is still happening in version 4.13. Is there still no news? I’m just surprised that this is not higher priority, since an essential part of the workflow is malfunctioning 100% of the time. Even more surprised that nobody else has reported this issue.

Have a great day!

Is there any update on the status of this bug? It is still marked as unresolved.

Hi there!
Just informing you that this is still happening in 4.19.
Thanks!

My current task (I’m working at a medium sized games developer) is to carefully place thousands of particle effects on hundreds of assets. Having to reselect a particle after Undo every time is irritating and costs me additional time.

I find it dramatic how something as basic as Undo History is deeply flawed in Unreal when in other engines like Unity it just works.

Please fix this, Epic!
