Foliage tool meshes not casting shadows
I really only have a general knowledge UE4. I just wanted to get that out there first thing.
I have a stylized, low-poly exploration and story driven game I'm slowly developing.
I ran into a problem with my shadows when I try to build lighting. My trees, that I've placed with the foliage tool, don't cast shadows. I've tried every combination of static lighting and dynamic lighting and other such things with no luck. The only time it casts shadows is when I set dynamic shadows to true and I move the directional light a bit. Then it gives the "Preview" shadow but I soon as I build lighting they go away and I get this message in the message log:
"Performance Warning InstancedPoliageActor_0 Large actor receives a pre-shadow and will cause an extreme performance hit unless bCastDyanamicShadow is set to false."
As I just said if I set that to false I don't get shadows. I know the foliage is bugged right now but is there anything I can do?
P.S. Heres what I'm talking about:

Hello again! Alright, so look at this doc first: StationaryLightShadows then under the DETAILS tab under your DIRECTIONAL LIGHT use these settings: , between those two, you should be good to go. You were on the right track with dynamic shadows. Just need to finesse it a bit.
