UE crashes when importing too many LODs with morphs

I have a character with 93 morph targets. I want to create 5 LODs all in all, although with decreasing number of morphs per LOD.
I managed to get the first LOD imported, mesh and and all. Then I import the second LOD into the mesh, it works fine, but when I do the third, UE either does not import the morphs or it crashes when it does.
I tried numerous times, even went back to 1.8.3 with the same result.
I can send you the FBX files if you want to pursue this matter actively, provided you dont know about this bug already, they are pretty big and I can’t post the link here since they are licensed character models which I can not make public here so I would need to know how to send you the link

Ok, I thought maybe the reason for this is that there were too many morph targets, but now it happened also with a set of Skeletal meshes of 5 LODs with only 9 morphtargets each. There is something seriously broken with the morphs and LODs.
I can provide you with the FBX files that cause the crash if you let me know where to send it

Smaller example FBX files would be great. Can you send that and also copy your callstack (including MachineID) into a txt document and attach that as well?

Ok, I just added a lenghty answer but then this software here saw it necessary to leave the website and everything was gone. I truly hate all this modern interconnection web-wub crap these days, nothing but trouble. I try to get the info back together from my memory.

I sent the download link to your forum account. I also submitted a crash dump today. Search for the keywords “Wallenstein” and “Williams” in the comment for the crash reports.

To provoke the crash:

  1. Load LOD level 1 with the morph targets
  2. Load LOD 2 and then LOD 3. Make sure it imports the morphs by selecting the LOD in the viewport and moving a morph slider. Sometimes the higher LODs do not import the morph targets! (That’s another bug) and then there is no crash. You may have to delete the import and start over if that happens
  3. When importing LOD 3 with morphs it crashes

This is a bigger one in my eyes because it will affect everybody who wants to use DAZ Genesis 3 characters. I include a file “Locomotion.rar” with samples for that bug too
