Swarm distributed // collecting photons stucks on certain machines

Hey Unrealers,

We’ve ran into a strange problem with Swarm Agent and I haven’t found any solutions for this problem here on AnswerHUB.

First, here’s a screenshot:

There are 5 machines connected. After kicking off the rendering process, only 2 computers make it to the processing mappings phase from the collecting photons phase. The rest remains orange in Swarm Agent.

My question is: why is that, and what is the solution for this problem?

Some facts:

  • We are using Unreal Editor version 4.11.2 on all PCs
  • All Unreal Editor instances were installed from scratch
  • We use Windows 10 with firewalls turned off on every PC
  • All computers have 32GB of RAM

This delay could be some nework issue, as you need to transfer all data from host.
With 1gbps at full duplex there shoud be no trouble with 5 PCs.
