Change controller on possessing a new pawn

Hi everyone,
I am trying to make a RTSFPS game. I have a working RTS aspect thanks largely to the RTS Toolkit and I want to be able to select a unit and possess it, in doing so I want to be able to run around in FPS mode. the problem I am facing is I cant get the controller to change when I possess a new pawn. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
