TRASHCLASS error keeps popping up

I previously had [TRASHCLASS error when overriding custom events][1] which was fixed in 4.11 but now TRASHCLASS crash still occurs randomly when changing any property in child classes. This happens randomly. The below crash occured when i changed RVO Avoidance in my Minion class which is inherited from MasterCharacter class. But this is not related to that specific setting or that class. Previously it happened when i changed Disable Cloth Simulation setting.

Here is a screenshot:

Hello,

I’m sorry to hear that the error has popped back up in your project. As in your other thread, it will be best to test the issues in your project itself, as I have not been able to reproduce errors of this sort on my end.

Could you please zip up your latest version of the project and provide me with a link via PM: https://forums.unrealengine.com/member.php?160394-Sean-Flint

Hey Sean…I have PM’ed you the link on forums.

Thank you for providing the latest version of the project.

In your original post, you said it happens occasionally when changing the RVO Avoidance setting in the Character Movement component, or changing the cloth simulation setting. Do you have a solid repro for this in your project? I have messed with a few settings in different blueprints, but I haven’t had the crash occur yet on my end.

Also, could you open a copy of the project in 4.12 and see if you are still experiencing a crash?

Hi Sean,

I have sent a video as a PM to you. It shows the crash. I havent tried this in 4.12 yet since its still in Preview. But soon I’ll try.

Hello,

I have been able to reproduce your crash and have entered a bug report (UE-30411). Thank you for your report.

Have a great day

Hey Sean…Thank you for the update. However please note that this is not related to RVO Avoidance setting as I’ve shown in the video. It happens if I change any property (boolean, float or anything) in any component. Since you are dealing with this bug report there are two more issues (IIRC) that happen with that project that I would like you to know. Should I list them here or post them as new question?

Please post a new topic for each unrelated issue that you are experiencing. That way we can focus on an individual issue in each post.

Thank you!
