Packaging Failed - Uknown Cook Error

Hello all,

I am attempting to package a project for Win-64 on a Windows 10 64bit machine.
Every time I attempt to package my project the process fails and I receive an error instructing me to check my log files.

I do not have much knowledge of the technical aspects that are involved in the packaging process so I would appreciate any assistance.

Log files can be found at this paste: ****

Edited to update log file.

Hello,

  • Are you able to package a clean project?
  • Did your log get cut off, or does it end abruptly as shown in the link you provided?
  • I am not sure what you mean by ‘clean’ project. I did select to do a full rebuild on packaging.
  • Here is an updated log which should contain everything, apologies for the previous log.

Try creating a blank blueprint project and see if you are able to package it.

Thank you for providing the updated log, I will see if I can find any errors within the log file.

Let me know the results of packaging the blank blueprint project.

,

I created a blank project and ran the packaging as you requested and I am getting a similar packaging error: http://pastebin.com/AsqftrZW

I should have mentioned earlier I am running on Unreal 4.11.2

Could you please provide your dxdiag?

Here it is: http://pastebin.com/7sQ8NRW8

I have attempted building this on two different machines, the one which I’m providing you the DxDiag for now, and another that was built this year.

Try packaging a project in the 4.12 Preview just to see if you are getting the same error.

When packaging in 4.12 I receive NO errors!

It seems like there was an issue with 4.11 and your setup that was preventing you from packaging. I’m glad to hear that you are able to package a project in 4.12.

Let me know if you have any further questions regarding this issue.

Have a great day

Hello , I am wondering if this can be reopened as the issue is still persisting.

The issue seems to occur after installing Visual Studio 2015

Have you ensured to install the C++ and Common Tools content required for VS 2015 to work with UE4?

If so, could you please provide the output log?
