Jagged Lightmaps with High Lightmap Resolution

Hi all,

I’m having an issue with baked lighting. The majority of my lightmaps are coming out very jagged and unappealing. I have increased the lightmap resolution on one of the meshes and it does begin to fix the issue but I have to crank it up to 256/512 and beyond (which I understand is quite high for a lightmap, or am I wrong there?) my worry is that I’m going to end up with all the lightmaps in my scene being obscenely high and very inefficiet. Is there something I’m missing here?

It depends on how big the asset is so scale the map size appropriately. At times I had it set to 2048 or even higher for world maps. Small things small maps, big things big maps. :slight_smile:

Is your lightmap build quality setting at preview or something higher? That might also help if you bump it up (though it does take longer)
