Matinee crash each time I try to record a movie

Hi,

Each time I try to record a movie in Matinee, I’ve a crash of the Engine.

I’ve tried with 2 projects and I’ve the same bug every time… And of course I’ve tried various settings.

I’ve attached 2 screenshots, Am I doing something wrong?

I’m not very fond of matinee yet, but I am with video editing. Have you tested if it’s a codec problem? See what codec Unreal uses and test if it is installed in your system. Sorry I can’t be more helpful, but most of the time crashes when working with video are likely because of codecs.

I’ve tried with the free project sci-fi hallway on another system, without changing the base settings, and I’ve a crash as soon as I start the capture…

What about using Sequencer, then? Maybe after Epic started focusing on the new system, something broke unnoticed in the deprecated one.

I’m having the same problem with both Matinee and Sequencer. Very frustrating.

I’v tried with the 4.12 Preview and it worked well by the way :wink:
