Import mixamo (adobe fuse) char materials are all translucent

If you go make a fuse character. Save and rig it. Then try to import, all the materials import as translucent. The char is see through.

Manually going in and change each mat to Opaque fixes it.

Tried the same import on 4.9.2. Imports correctly.

Hey thankstipscom,

Would you mind providing me with a test asset, specifically one that reproduces the issue you are reporting?

Would you also mind testing this in the 4.12 preview release to see if it is resolved there?

Thank you,

Sure
find a model to import here

I dont have 4.12 right now I still mostly use 4.9 have had bad experiences migrating to newer versions in the past. Just thought id try 4.11 on a new project.

I tested this issue in 4.12 and 4.11 and got the same results you are reporting here. I cannot say that we officially support Adobe Fuse as a third party software for the fbx pipeline.

With that said, if it worked in 4.9.2, I can investigate getting a bug report made to have this issue addressed. Let me know if you have further questions or need additional assistance.

Cheers,

Well the workaround is more annoying than difficult.

But it 100% works for me in 4.9.2 and 4.8.
Whether theres support for Mixamo/Fuse or not, it might be worth figuring out why its happening all of a sudden, just to confirm it IS specifically with mixamo/fuse and not with types of imports? I didnt do enough testing to know if it breaks with other things as well. If it was an issue with the model, then it wouldn’t work in 4.9.2 I’d assume.

Anyway, I don’t need further help, was just reporting it.
Thanks!

fyi, I imported a different model other than the four i tested with… and the other one imports ok in 4.11. I think its a texture/material issue. The ones that come in transparent are a metallic texture for the clothing. Though it doesnt explain why they import in previous versions. Its the only diff between the model that works and the one that doesnt as far as I know.
