Packaged Exe wont run

Hello there,

I am having a large problem getting my exe to run. I have run into numerous errors up to this point but this appears to be a brick wall. Previous errors have been “failed to open descriptor file” and “global shader cache file is missing” However I now have Couldn’t start … CreateProcess() returned 2. I no longer know if I’m fixing errors or creating new ones.

Anyone have some comprehensive knowledge of building unreal projects?

Do you have any of these same issues when you run your project in Standalone via the PIE menu inside of the editor? Could you post the output logs from when you package your project? They can be found in the project’s directory under the Saved/Logs directory. Even though the packaging succeeds, it may have some warnings that point to why the .exe isn’t starting correctly.

We haven’t heard from you in a while, . Are you still experiencing these issues? If so, have you tried what I suggested in my previous post? What were the results? thank you so much, so I’ve been getting the same error as Viking and I were wondering how to fix it because it’s quite annoying when you’re trying to show your friends your game. anyway any help will be appreciated
