Lag PC on UE content

My pc begins to lag when I’m working with blueprints (even the empty) and select tabs.

And lags occur in the launcher when I select (no click) something (tabs, project…). Tabs select game (ue, ark, paragon…) and left tabs (community, faq, market, library) don`t lag.

=>Lag any content associated with ue4 even outside running program (launcher).

My pc:
win 10 x64
i7-5930k
16gb ram
gtx 970

Hello,

  • Could you please provide your full dxdiag?

DxDiag

  • Have you tested this in any other engine versions besides 4.11?
  • Does this occur in any project when using the editor, or only a specific project?
  • When you are noticing your PC begin to slow down, can you please open up your Task Manager and screenshot how much memory the editor is using?

In the 10 and even when deleted UE in the launcher still remain lags.

This takes place in the launcher and the program itself (even when the project is not open).

Cpu and Ram in Task Manager did not jump. The launcher 300/450mb ram , engine 1gb and more.

Later I will try to record a video for better visibility.

Please do share a video, as I’m unable to reproduce this issue on my end. Have you tried rolling back to a previous graphics card driver to see if you still experience the issue? If not, you can give that a try.

Older drivers don`t help

Which drivers are you currently running for your graphics card?

Latest, 368.22

I have another suggestion. Go into Edit->Editor Preferences->Miscellaneous and disable the Use Less CPU When in Background option.

Let me know if that makes a difference.

did not help

Have you attempted to re-install the Epic Games Launcher and the engine version(s) that you are using? If not, give this a try and let me know if that helps.

I have not been able to reproduce any lag in the launcher or in editor at this time.

At the beginning try.

lags in the launcher when loaded and displays information of the project.
in the pc lags even with an empty project log

mb in my pc broke some libraries needed to run the program?

Here’s another thing you can try. Navigate to this file path: C:\Users\YourUsernameHere\AppData\Local\UnrealEngine\4.11 and delete the folders located here (DerivedDataCache, Content, Intermediate, Saved), and then attempt to reinstall the engine again. This removes all of the files that are related to that editor installation.

Let me know if that makes a difference.

deleted. Now re-install. But I think it’s not. Because I deleted all versions of the engines but remained lags in projects in launcher.

UPD. Did not help.

Looking, testing realized that the problem is in the windows. Window comment(http://puu.sh/p8tXT/738f9ef0e9.jpg), window menu, building window, saving window, log window, BP window… So any outside window causes lag. If the external window does not appear that there is no lag (if BP open in tab (not new window) no passive lag).

p.s. after repeated reinstallation and others had problems with auto save (in processing exports freezing engine) but is not much worried

Go to this page and see if you have any of this installed: A new, community-hosted Unreal Engine Wiki - Announcements - Unreal Engine Forums

Also, unplug one monitor at a time and see if performance goes up after any one of them have been unplugged.

Hello,

Have a great day

I did not receive notification of the last comment.

Yes indeed the problem was in the monitor. I did not even try to open the engine only on another monitor. If any engine window open on a regular monitor the lags appear.
I would like to resolve this issue.
