Visible gaps in landscape mesh while moving / Landscape occlusion bug

When moving or quickly rotating the camera, it appears that newly revealed areas of the landscape mesh are occasionally taking a frame or more to appear, causing what looks to be visible gaps in the mesh. Interestingly, the problem is not as severe while moving around in edit mode rather than playing the game.

[Here is a video][1] showing the glitches, and here is a still where I caught a particularly bad case:

Things I have tried:

  • Restarted editor
  • Updated drivers
  • Removed my flat shading / landscape layers material
  • Entered command r.HZBOcclusion 0 and rebuilt as recommended [here][3].
  • Removed atmospheric fog (Person at the link above said that it helped. This just makes the holes black.)
  • Removed custom post process
  • Experimented with placing regular static meshes behind landscape and each other, neither of which produced this issue, while placing the static mesh in front of the landscape still does.
  • Created a new project, added terrain with no material
  • Tried above in 4.10.4 as well
  • Also tried 4.12 Preview 4
  • Different resolution settings at mesh creation (Doesn’t make it happen less but problems at higher resolutions are less obvious due to the missing areas just being smaller)
