Building Derived Data Cache

So Ive been familiarising myself with the DDC and how UE4 handles it… I have noticed some assets are “loaded” very quickly, and some others take upwards of 30 minutes to be processed… what part of the processing is causing the extreme slow downs to occur?

I don’t see any consistency… I could have 2 files almost identical in file size yet to takes one so much longer than the other…

to process our entire library it takes over 14 hours too complete… This cannot be working correct as the documentation states that epic build thiers out overnight so its ready for the next day… that must mean it takes under 8/10 hours…
