  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

GoolePlay Game Incompatible With My Device?

So I was checking out my game on the GooglePlay website, when I noticed that the website informed me, my device was incompatible. The same device I used to build and test the game on. I was able to downloaded my own game on GooglePlay while it was still in testing, and I can download it from the App Store app on my phone. But download it from the website now that it's on sale, not to mention, it wants me to pay for my own game. I have a Motorola Moto E, but GooglePlay refers to it as a AT&T Motorola XT1021. The compatibility list for my game shows almost all devices supported, and all Moto E devices are supported. and the XT1021 doesn't show up on the list anywhere. So I'm at a bit of a loss as to what's wrong. The game can clearly be installed and run on my device, but I just can't pay for or download it from the actual website now.

I suppose this wouldn't be much of an issue, as I can still put it on my phone. But I'm more worried that other people will have this problem with my game. Here's a link to it: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.stoicherostudios.ebextrabearrestrial I'm in no way asking you to but and download it, more just curious if it says your device is compatible. As I don't have other devices to test it on.

If anyone might have a clue why my device, or possibly other devices could be excluded from the GoolePlay website. It would mean a lot for any information you could lend. Please and thank you.

Hey Valmont,

Could you provide us with the APK you provided to Google? I can try to look into this further to at least see if it launches. You may need to contact Google and see why your device that you tested on doesn't work.

You can upload your game to a Google Drive link and provide it to me through a private message on the forums.

Looking forward to hearing back from you, thanks!

Oops, sorry. Never saw that anyone responded to my question. Here's my .apk on Google Drive: https://docs.google.com/uc?export=download&id=0B7vMD_Yn5YC5TjA1NW9nZ2VnNDg

Could you upload the whole packaged file, including the .bat? Sorry for being unclear previously. :)

Should just need that, right? The .apk was in the previous upload.

Thank you Valmont for providing us with the .bat file as well. I have pushed your project to a few different devices and have not ran into the same issue you're describing. I even visited the Google Play page for EBExtrabearrestrial to see if I'd get the same message on lower spec devices.

I tested on the following and did not have any trouble:

  • Galaxy S3 Mini

  • Nvidia Shield

  • Galaxy S6

  • Galaxy Note 4

  • Galaxy M Style

  • Galaxy S4 Mini

Unfortunately, we do not have a Moto E available to test with. I'd suggest the following at this time:

  • Contact Google and see if they have any additional information on the error.

  • What Android version is your device on?

  • Have you been able to replicate this with another device?
