Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

Hello,

The error I am seeing is: UnrealBuildTool: ERROR: Windows SDK v8.1 must be installed in order to build this target.

Ensure that you have Windows SDK 8.1 installed, and that you have Visual Studio properly installed as well.

Have a great day

Hi there,

I installed Windows SDK v8.1 and reinstalled Visual Studio, making sure I checked Common Tools, but I still seem to be getting the same issues.

Have a look at this Answerhub post:

https://answers.unrealengine.com/questions/319709/cannot-generate-project-files-using-vs2015.html

It looks like it is possible that you missed the C++ content that is necessary during the installation of Visual Studio 2015.

I did miss that, and changing those settings meant I could package the completely blank project. However, I thought I would test it on the First Person Map with no starter content, and there are still some issues: link text

The new error I am seeing is: invalid file or disk full: cannot seek to 0x574B002

Are you sure you have enough space on your drive?
