Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

Editor is Extremely Slow on Specific Project

Hi all,

I'm currently running on 4.8 and the editor is extremely slow on one particular project.

Often it will be stuck at 96 percent when loading the project, but when it does load, it becomes virtually unresponsive. Worse yet is that it seems to affect my whole PC, as the entire computer crawls to a halt. When I am able to get my task manager up, it appears that the engine is not responding and using up to 80% of my memory.

This is troubling because:

  • Other projects work completely fine and run smoothly

  • Just yesterday I was able to run the editor with no issue, and now this has suddenly happened.

Attached is my dxdiag, any help is appreciated as I'm absolutely blocked here.link text
