So, goes without saying this is really frustrating, but I’ve got some buildings I made from primitive brushes, nothing special, a two floor box room with subtractive box brushes for windows, yknow, the usual.
Except when I convert these to static mesh assets, those assets won’t save. They get created, work fine, and in my content viewer the asset is listed, but the asterisk indicating a need to save is always present, and every time I try to save, it gets to 50% and then says "the asset “asset name” failed to save. No more detail then that. The asset files are not being created in my hard drive.
Please, for the love of god, help. I can’t reduce to static mesh, which means resources on resources on resources. Frankly it means unreleasable content, as far as I’m concerned. Totally unacceptable situation I gotta fix this.
Update: It seems assets will save in folders that existed when the project was created, but not in any folders created since then… Workable but still really really annoying cos… well organization is a thing.
