Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

360 Youtube streaming inside the engine

Greetings, everyone.

There is a certain project that I might get involved with in the near future that requires the creation of a virtual interactive environment for GearVR... among other features, there's this crazy idea of streaming 360 videos from Youtube.

I found a certain answer that involves a widget and it could potentially be used as a texture for a certain mesh, but I'm not 100% sure that I can get the full HDR image to use it in a sphere with inverted normals. Plus, I'm seriously worried about the final quality of the experience.

Is there any stable (or experimental) procedure anyone has ever tried to do? Apparently, I can do this with some Unity prefabs but I want to go with Unreal, in particular if this is a chance to get to know the engine a little better.

Thanks in advance,

Product Version: UE 4.11
