DOF blur is so STATIC
my blur is so static. is there a way to smooth the blur? I'm seeing better blurs than this but theres no tutorials on how to do it.

While this is a not a "how-to" guide, the information shows clear examples of the settings adjustments that can help you get better results for your scene. Also, keep in mind that there have been some significant changes over the last 8-9 months since 4.9 was released. 4.12 is the latest release that just went out yesterday.
