Objects stuffed

when ever i import a bridge or an object with open spaces the whole thing pretty much becomes a solid cube shape, so my character can’t jump or use the object as it just rebounds as if it’s a wall. also whats the best way to add tree’s and grass in a mass without using foliage as foliage tool creates problems for me and you can’t edit each object individually or move them, also how can i create a path on my landscape as most of the things i’ve tried wont work

The first problem is about collision. Proper way doing it would be to make custom low poly collision mesh for it, in your 3d program, but if your mesh is low poly, you can just in the static mesh editor, choose “Use complex collision as simple”.

2nd Problem. Trust me, the best way is to use the foliage tool. If you don’t use instanced foliage, the performance drop is horrible. Just experiment with the foliage tool.

3rd Problem, not sure what you’re meaning, but maybe try landscape splines?

i tried that and and tried many other collisions and one worked but would move and fall through the map after touching it

and thanks will do is there away to edit a single folliaged placed object?

yeah that was kinda what i meant but i can’t apply a texture or a material to said splines

i can add them in editor mode but play mode they wont show up at all
