How do I paste a group of objects while preserving the original rotation individual objects?

I have been attempting to build a relatively large object out of a number of smaller static meshes. Using sockets I would attach the static meshes to each other. When I eventually wanted to copy and paste a group of these meshes, the relative location was preserved but the rotation was not. If there is any way to paste groups of static meshes while preserving rotation that you know of I would be greatly appreciative.
